Our story
Built from the inside of the industry out.
Deep Roots didn't start behind a register. It started on a production floor.
The roots go back to a first job at fifteen years old, manufacturing fertilizers and hydroponic systems, learning how this equipment and these nutrients are actually made and what makes them work.
Thirty years later, that hands-on knowledge is the backbone of the shop. When we recommend a nutrient line, a soil, or a room design, it's because we understand what's in the bottle and what your plants will do with it. Not because it's what's on sale.
We opened Deep Roots in Sebastopol in 2006, and for twenty years it has been the local grow shop for everyone from first-time gardeners to full commercial operations.
